Katie Novaria, President

Katie Novaria is a proud alumna of University of Michigan’s Xi Chapter where she served as Vice President Member Education.  While in Ann Arbor, Katie studied Political Science and French and made the move to D.C. in the summer of 2007 to work on Capitol Hill for a member of congress from Michigan.  Once in D.C., she became immediately involved in the DG Alumnae Group and was thrilled to find such a wonderful group of women.  Katie has served as both the chapter’s Vice President Membership and as the DGs in DC SIG Coordinator.  She currently works on Capitol Hill for the House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee.  When she isn’t working, Katie enjoys spending time with DGs, exploring the city, running, and watching Michigan sports (Go Blue!).

Jessica Schultz, Vice President: Communications

Jessica Schultz, originally from Chicago, Illinois, graduated from American University in 2007 with a B.A. in political science and minor in French. Jessica pledged American’s Beta Epsilon chapter and served as Director of Scholarship. Jessica joined the DC alumni group in 2009 and participates in Book Club, Chapter events, DG Dine out and Wine group. Jessica is currently an associate at a boutique public affairs firm in Washington, DC. In her free time Jessica enjoys running, reading, hanging out with friends and acting like a tourist in DC.

Lynn Neagley, VP Foundation

Lynn B. Neagley (Delta Beta-KY) joined the Washington, DC alumnae chapter in 2004 and has held the office of VP-Membership and VP-Foundation for the chapter in the past. She also served as VP-Foundation and Awards chairman for the San Diego Alumnae Chapter before her move here. Lynn recently completed a second term as a Regional Alumnae Specialist (RAS) in Region 2 and will continue as a member of Delta Gamma’s cabinet as an Alumnae Development Coordinator (ADC) beginning in June. She is looking forward to getting reacquainted with her WDC sisters as an active participant in upcoming Foundation events and with our Special Interest Groups. Lynn is a licensed Realtor in the state of Maryland and also works at Capital Teas in Bethesda, Maryland.

Diane Cross, VP Membership

Diane Cross is a 2001 initiate of the Alpha Tau Chapter at Butler University.  She has a B.S. in Business Marketing from Butler, and obtained her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law.  Currently, Diane works as a legal consultant herein DC, focusing on corporate compliance issues.  While at Butler, Diane served as VP Programming of her collegiate chapter.  As an alum, she has served as Web Master for the Indianapolis Alumnae Group and as VP Communications for the WDC Alumnae Group.  Joining the WDC Alumnae Group in 2008, Diane enjoys attending chapter events and is actively involved in Book Club and Wine Group.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and friends, attending SIG events and being active.

Karen Ressue, VP Programming

Originally from Vermont, Karen Ressue migrated south to attend Loyola University New Orleans to pursue a bachelor’s of arts in graphic design. Upon returning to school after being displaced by Hurricane Katrina, she was initiated into the Epsilon Phi chapter of Delta Gamma and served as the Director of PR and Advertising. After graduation, with degrees in both graphic design and marketing, she moved to Washington D.C. and immediately became involved with the local DG alumne chapter, attending monthly events, joining SIG groups (her favorites are book club and wine club), and serving as Holiday Tea Chair in 2010. She currently works as a paralegal at an estate planing and litigation law firm in Virginia, and hopes to attend law school sometime in the near future. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants and museums, pleasure reading (for book club!), and spending time with friends.

Helen Gordon, Alumnae Assistant Administrator

Helen Gordon is a (HSSE ’67) graduate of Purdue University. She has a masters degree in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute (MS’80) Brooklyn, NY. She and her husband John have been married for 45 years and have lived all over the United States and traveled extensively worldwide. Helen was editor of ONLINE and DATABASE magazines and in the technology department as a manager with MCI. While living in Atlanta, Helen was a “protocol” volunteer for the 1996 Olympics. Helen served in various Delta Gamma Fraternity roles including: Alumnae Assistant Administrator, vp:communications, Webmaster and e-Ops ACE, and e-Ops Trainer. In 2001, she spearheaded the fundraising for the $100,000 endowment for the Delta Gamma Lectureship in Values & Ethics for Purdue University. (This Purdue Foundation endowment is currently worth more than $250,000 and continues to grow). In 2009 Helen was awarded Delta Gamma Fraternity’s Cable Award. Helen is a life member of the Purdue University President’s Council. She also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Virginia Chamber Orchestra.

Stephanie CraigPublic Relations Chair

Stephanie Craig has been a proud DG since her initiation at the Alpha Theta chapter at the University of North Dakota. Since then, she built her career as a political professional with experience in both the U.S. and Canada. She has served as a consultant to a Fortune 10 company, international business organization and several political organizations. She holds a master’s degree from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Dakota.

Danielle FrottierCity Sponsorship Chair

Danielle Frottier has been a member of the Washington DC Delta Gamma Alumnae group since 2001. She previously served as the Book Club Coordinator and the Holiday Tea Coordinator in 2009. Danielle works at Orr Associates, Inc., a consulting firm that assists nonprofit organizations with strategy, development, and fundraising services. She is an alumnae of Northwestern University (Sigma Chapter) and is originally from Birmingham, Michigan. She is an active participant in Team in Training benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and is enjoying raising her black lab puppy, Molly.

Casey ColemanDirector of Collumnae Relations: American University

Casey Coleman is a recent graduate of American University, Beta Epsilon, and has just taken on the role of Collumnae Relations for the WDC DG alumnae chapter.  She works on the Hill for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee as a finance assistant. In her free time she plays tennis and volunteers at a dog shelter.

Maureen O’Connor, Founders Day Chair

Maureen O’Connor was initiated in 2003 at Beta Sigma – Maryland and quickly became immersed in everything Delta Gamma! After graduation in 2006, she became involved with the area alumnae groups. In 2007, she joined House Corps at Epsilon Nu – James Madison University and has been serving the chapter since. In 2009, she joined the Advisory Team at Beta Epsilon – American University, supporting the director of alumnae relations, then later, VP: Panhellenic. Maureen is a meeting planner by profession and has been working for a medical association for over four years. In the little spare time she has, Maureen enjoys going out to eat, hitting the gym, traveling to visit her boyfriend, going to local sporting events and Doing Good in the name of Delta Gamma and Maryland! This is her first position with the WDC alumnae chapter.

Ruthie Goodell, Holiday Tea Chair

Ruthie Goodell joined the Washington, DC DG alumnae chapter in July of 2010 after completing her adventures as a nanny post-graduation from Ohio Wesleyan University with a degree in International Relations and Humanities-Classics. There, she was a member of the Alpha Rho chapter. She is currently working in conference planning and logistics at a DC association. She enjoys traveling, sporting events, DG Book Club, running, and is an extremely enthusiastic University of Wisconsin Badger fan.

Tracey Yost, Panhellenic Delegate and DG Dine out Coordinator

Tracey Yost is a graduate of the University of Maryland and grew up in the DC metropolitan area. A member of the WDC chapter since 2004, she is currently the Dine Out SIG chair and had served as the Beta Sigma collumnae rep. As a collegian, she served as vp: social standards as well as Webmaster when the chapter won the Barbara Nussa Boersma Outstanding Web Site Award. Tracey currently lives in Bethesda and works downtown as a Human Resources Specialist for a federal agency. In her spare time she enjoys playing and watching sports.

Lindsey SchwalbDirector of Rituals and Recognition and Book Club Coordinator

Lindsey is a proud alumna of the Beta Sigma chapter at the University of Maryland. During her four years in college, Lindsey served her chapter as VP Programming, Director of E-Communications, and Vision Chair. Lindsey graduated in 2008 with a B.S. in Marketing and minor in Spanish. She currently works as an Account Executive for an advertising and marketing agency. In her free time, Lindsey enjoys reading (especially with Book Club!), wine tasting (especially with Wine Group!), exploring DC, cooking, cheering for DC and Baltimore sports teams (it will pay off one of these days), and running.

Kerry Cooney, Special Interest Groups Chair
Kerry joined the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Delta Gamma as a freshman at American University in Spring 2004. Kerry immediately got involved in chapter affairs, holding her first position in Fall 2005. As a collegian, Kerry held the positions of VP: Panhellenic, VP: Foundation and Director of New Members. Kerry joined WDC DG Alumnae Chapter in December 2007. Her favorite part of the Alumnae group are the SIGs! She enjoys attending book club, wine group, and DG dine-out. When Kerry isn’t hanging out with her DG sisters, she is working for Fairfax County Public Schools as a Special Education Teacher.

Natasha Pedroza, Webmaster

Natasha graduated from DePauw University in 2003 and was an active member of the gamma iota chapter of Delta Gamma.  While in college, she served as VP Panhellenic, Director of Activities, and as Director of Service for the campus’ Panhellenic Council.  After college, she began a career in higher education and student affairs, including receiving her master’s degree in 2006 from Indiana University–Bloomington in the field.  For the last five years, she worked at Georgetown University, first in student affairs (residence life) and then in alumni relations (main campus reunion).  She recently decided to take time off to stay home with her adorable newborn son, Miguel Ravi.  Currently, Natasha also serves as an advisor for American University’s chapter, plans events for DePauw’s DC alumni group and has remained active with the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation, the organization funded by the Dance Marathon Natasha founded in college.  She belongs to the Capital Hiking Club, is enthusiastic about her yoga studio community (Studio DC), and also loves football (watching, not playing), cooking and most things crafty.

Kerri CoxDG Sweet Peas Coordinator, Moms Night Out Coordinator, Anchora

Kerri Cox has been a member of the WDC alumnae chapter since 1999.  Currently, serving as Anchora/PR and coordinator of the DG Sweet Pea special interest group, she has previously served as alumnae chapter President, Special Interest Group Coordinator, and coordinator and founding member of Book Club and Wine Tasting.  Kerri also served as President of her collegiate chapter, Zeta Eta (Texas State University at San Marcos).  A federal government attorney for the Office of Government Ethics, Kerri works part-time in order to spend more time with her son, daughter and husband.  She lives in Friendships Heights.

Meredith Riddle, Wine Tasting Coordinator

Meredith is a proud alumna of the Gamma Theta chapter at the University of Florida. During her undergrad years, Meredith served as Director of New Members and VP Programming. Today, Meredith is happy to serve DG once again as the Awards Chair and Wine Group SIG coordinator. On a professional note, Meredith holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Florida and a Master’s in Education-Instructional Technology from George Mason University. Meredith currently works as an Instructional Designer for a local government contractor. In her spare time, Meredith enjoys running, golf, wine, the Wii, fixing up her condo, and attending all the fabulous DG events!
